Growing up in a large family (8 sisters, 4 brothers), my Mom would bake fresh bread for the family meal quite often. I fondly remember coming home from school and enjoying the fresh aroma of bread that filled the house. Dinners were ALWAYS better with fresh, home-baked bread on the table.

About 15 years ago, I started baking my own bread for family and friends and coworkers. Sharing great food among friends and family is one of life's simplest pleasures. A hobby I enjoy.

4 years ago, I participated in my daughter's school's Holiday Craft Show. I was actually there selling my framed photography (another hobby of mine), when on a whim, I baked up 10 loaves of bread to have on my table as well. The 10 loaves DISAPPEARED immediately, and I thought to myself, "The HECK with photography! People like to EAT." And with that, FLANAGAN'S BREAD was born.

With my wife (Kelly) now helping out, we have over 65 varieties of breads that we bake. Baked fresh, using herbs and spices grown right in our backyard. Cooked right in the kitchen, just like when I was a kid.
